Greentomatoes is advertising £24k yr, holiday pay etc.. I wonder if anyone here has applied for it.

Is this a step forward into an employed status of PH drivers?

Mate, what your salary was in 2001 has nothing to do with my post, I too had earnings in the 90's that were 4x what I earn today and an easier life.

You keep calling Uber drivers slaves and earning peanuts, this advert of full employment by a PH operator is something that I've not seen before, it might be a decent thing for some drivers.

What GT are advertising is full employment including driving a Miraj for £24k a year.. many Uber drivers don't make this, considering free car, Holiday pay, sick pay and pension.

We keep talking about joining other ops, how is GT like, anyone has any recent feedback to share.

You would probably get all the long runs.

So Manchester say 4.5 hours @7.60 an hour.

    Plus fixed shifts/days etc

It will be a step back.

They will drive you non stop all shift as they want RTI.

Will you ne taking the car home?

Or dropping it at the yard for the next shift?

    No turning jobs down.

They will give you a job going the wrong way 10mins before your finish time and then you can "go home from there"

Thanks to UPHD and GMB and all those shorst sighted fools intent on feathering their own nests who have ruined PH because of their anti Uber rhetoric.

But surely if you become an employee then the scenario you have described will cost them money as your time to return will need to be paid but agree, they will run you into the ground.

37 hours or even 40 is 11.PH less tax so better then some jobs

Looks like you will need to do much longer than that, but most expenses are included.
Pension scheme, I think the company has to contribute at least 2%, from next year 3% of the annual salary.
Not for me, because I cannot commit set hours, though I can do long hours. But it may be good for some drivers.

Are you high or short the Dow Jones.

    It looks kind of bullish.

The FTSE looking weak in the short term but finding resistance.

    Will it bounce back?

Considering the holiday and the lack of overheads (their car, fuel, insurance) how much worse is this than Uber (excluding the “freedom” lol) but offset against paid holiday

£9.23 gross per hour, better than £5-6 with expenses surely
