How do you guys sit for a few hours at Airports and make any money?

I'll sit and wait if I see either Lyft or Uber under about 7 or 8. Half the time I don't get an airport pickup, I get a ping from a rental car lot or a nearby hotel.

    Low rider score

Yes it just extends what you have for personal coverage. I pay $115 in total per month.

    Low rider score

No it doesn't. It includes comprehensive, collision, and uninsured motorist. Liability means I cause damage or injury, then I would still have to pay Lyft/Uber deductible. I mean in reality they are just paying the difference between the rideshare co's deductible and mine, except for liability...

Just under $100 per 6 month billing cycle.

    Lyft new pay structure ??

You'll get the lovely Pax canceled and you aren't getting paid due to insufficient progress message. I took a dude on a beer run on Lyft and that happened to me. He couldn't get a signal on his phone to add the destination back to his house. I got a stacked ping just before getting to the...

    Low rider score

Nope. Thats WITH the additional rideshare coverage. https://www.statefarm.com/insurance/auto/coverage-options/rideshare-insurance#1-desc-Id0 If you have a claim, you deal directly with State Farm. Transporting State Farm Rideshare Driver Coverage extends all coverages, except liability...

    Low rider score

I'd agree, except I have State Farm's rideshare endorsement. The amount of uninsured motorists around these parts is downright scary.

I won't take anyone under 4.8 on Uber, or 4.9 on Lyft ever again, learned my lesson. I think pax with good ratings are way less likely to give a bad rating for BS reasons.

I want to know why that diamond drivers take precedence over go drivers in Platinum drivers where they'll get longer trips faster than we will we're a

Why would a contractor ever do business with someone that says: hey take this contract, but uh we aren't going to let you know how big the job is first. JUST TAKE IT!

    Uber is fighting Dynamex rule

Yeah we do. Federal minimum wage is $7.50/hour, though there are some exceptions most notable for tipped employees (but what they make plus tips must equal $7.50). Several states have no minimum wage, so that is the de facto one there.

    Uber is fighting Dynamex rule

"If Uber and Lyft want us to remain independent contractors, they should make Seattle's rates a nationwide policy. " ? I was responding to a complaint that Uber doesn't pay everyone the same rate in the country. I already make more than New Mexico minimum wage doing rideshare, like 40% more...

    Uber is fighting Dynamex rule

Indeed, there is lots of BS with the way Uber does business, but I have no idea why anyone thinks a corporation should pay the same rates for contractors in every area they operate. Sure I get less here in ABQ, but my house cost around $130 sq/foot in a slightly better than average neighborhood.

Uber/Lyft to make wage concessions to keep California drivers contractors.

Just to chime in, you are very much correct. Most states are "at will" employment states. That means an employer can fire their employees for ANY reason that is not specifically prohibited, ie because of gender, race, religion. Literally someone lost their job for showing up to work with a vote...

    Uber is fighting Dynamex rule

Yes they can. If you are an employee they can stipulate whatever they want. Like you can't simultaneously work for a competitor. Shit, in most states they can stipulate that you don't work for anyone else on a W-2.

A 1 star is like adding insult to ¢60 a mile injury

Lol, no I don't think your BSing, just making a reference to your avatar pic. I'd never be able to hit those doing this part time. Maybe if I totally concentrated on Uber OR Lyft, but then I'd spend more time sitting around waiting for a ping.

Is this your first summer doing Uber. Do you live in a college town? If so, your earnings are going down because students went home for the summer, while TA's, adjunct professors etc are trying to make a few bucks in the summer. You are competing with more drivers, with less potential pickups.

$102 for 81 rides in a week... Lol the most I've ever done in a week on Lyft is about 25.

    Audited Taxes

Your situation is different than mine... but its truly not extremely minor. I'm already in the 12% bracket from my day job (after 12,200 standard deduction), 5% state income, and then there is self-employment tax 15% (totals 32%). I drive about 400 miles a week doing rideshare. If I just said...
