Hi Dione. It does not work with Mac, just Windows. Please contact me for further advise: contact@myuberincome.com.au
Hi Ricdam, I have read so many good things about your spreadsheet could I trouble you for the link to the latest available one ?, its time to track my activity better !! , Allan

    Hi Allan.

The spreadsheet is now obsolete as from the 1st of December Uber started charging a GST-inclusive fee. For that reason the version 2 is not available for download anymore.

I am working on an updated version which should be available early-mid January.

    Cheers

This is an excellent spreadsheet! Much appreciated. But I notice when I put in a Main income and add an Uber income, my net income is less. In the Summary sheet to calculate Net Income (K25), you use K20-K21-K23-K24. Shouldn't K21 (Claimable Expense) be excluded? It should be used to only calculate Taxable Income (K22).
    Any input is appreciated.

Hi mate, just wondering if you can send me a link to your spreadsheets, it will be very appreciated.
    Thanks again
Hi there ricdam! I am really keen to check out your new spreadsheet please - or even the old one as I am just new to Uber.
Thanks in advance - very appreciated :smiles:
    Hey

I've done extensive work on the new v2.00 spreadsheet and there is a problem in the Summary tab regarding C39 (1B GST ON PURCHASES)
When I manually add them up in the expenses tab the total figure is shot compared to the yearly total

I can no longer remember the exact problem, but i believe the monthly statements were not balancing agains the sheet when the data is weekly input, this is i believe because at the end of the quarter, any jobs after midnight automatically go into the next quarter
Assuming when i entered the weekly data the partial week split has to be split right on midnight and not the day if that makes sense

That's right, that's why there is the "partial week" column, so you can split what has been done prior and after the beginning of the quarter. Read the Tutorial in the Information tab for more info.

Yup read it all, I was splitting it as whole days, however, on the very last day of that month, the last day needs be split as rides before midnight and the rides after midnight get placed. thanks

Read the instructions mate. Booking fee deduction need to be negative.
    Hi ricdam!
Thank you for your awesome Excel sheet.
However, as I can see your saying in below, the sheet may be updated recently.
Could you send a link to download the newest version Excel sheet?

    And I have a question.
I have a previous Excel sheet.
The GST-PAY-Uber in summary sheet should be applied to the total fare? I think it should be applied to the Payout...
    So confusing...could you explain?

    Thanks!
    Sean.

Passenger pays GST on top of the fare, not on your payout. Cheers
    Hi Ricdam -
Thanks for the excellent Excel sheets.
In cell K4 Personal services income is shown as equal to Uber Payout, but further down in K12 Uber Commission is counted as part of Other Deductions - shouldn't personal service income be before the Uber Commission?
Also in K4 PSI is shown as inclusive of GST - shouldn't this be before GST figure (if you're going to put it in your tax return)?
    ricdam
    ricdam
Hey mate. You're right, PSI should include Uber commission and all the figures in the tax return should be exclusive of GST. I have fixed in the new version which should be available by May. Cheers
Hey Ricdam, cheers for the excel sheet. What is the depreciation rate for cars? Also there seems to be a glitch when imputing 1st quarter dates, for now I'm just typing dec 2017 instead of 2016.
    ricdam
    ricdam
Hey mate. Depreciation depends on case by case basis. I would suggest to search on Carsales.com.au how much your car would worth without the mileage done when Ubering. There is also the normal car depreciation that should be added up.
Regarding the glitch, yes the glitch exist and I have fixed that in the new version that should be released by April.
    Stay tuned.
Hi, Ricdam, thank you for your activity sheet, it was awesome! However, I have some questions.
I'll start the Uber X driver from Feb 1st in Melbourne, and I haven't had any ideas of tax policies in Australia.
In the income sheet, what is the meaning of 'Yearly first income', and in the expense sheet, the meaning of 'Medicare Levy' & 'Uber cut'?
Also, I want to know how to calculate car depreciation.
