I'm not sure what you mean by "work the cell towers" but the Orlando airport is a strict FIFO area with special permits required. Regular UberXs cannot pick up there.
You need commercial insurance (24/7 full commercial coverage, James River's coverage does not apply) and a City Of Orlando livery permit $450+ first year, $200 annually after that.)
Unless your planning on starting a 1 car Towncar service it's not worth it at all. Commercial insurance costs are $3,000-4000 more than regular insurance a year.
It is absolutely NOT worth it to come to Orlando. Our rates are too low and the market is saturated with drivers. Unless you know the area your ratings will drop and you will lose money. There are currently stings st the airport, the Doubletree and the Gaylord Palms, each being done by a different local authority.
This guy is bad advisor. You make .65 an hour, when I go to Orlanfo and work about 3 to 31/2 hrs I make st lease $200. Orlando is hidden gold, most orlanfo drivers too lazy!!!
Search area you will find your niche!
Orlando is really not worth it to me, in regards to your cars well being. You gotta get lucky and hit the surges to make $$. These days you have to get lucky to make $$ in our over saturated area
