Having a change of career from the IT sector. I've decided to start my own Executive PH company.
Being realistic I thought I'd get some experience first. I went to the Uber ignition presentation a couple of weeks ago . I was annoyed that Rossendale seem to be handing out PH licences like confetti. Seems like a cash cow for them but I suppose if there's a loop hole someone will exploit it.
I couldn't get my head round the earnings. Is £1300 really achievable for a thirty hour week and when are these thirty hours? Business hours or evenings ferrying drunks around?
Living in Wigan I started the PH licensed driver route before the ignition presentation and sat my knowledge a few days ago and passed with only two marks dropped. Would I be able to pickup in my area and work say Liverpool as well as Manchester? What are other Ubers really earning?
I don't want sales pitches of £1300 just realistic. I suspect £700 for a 30 hour week after the uber service fee. Am I right?

What ever your total for the week is, deduct 45% for a truer picture of what you will earn.
Then remember to put some of your 55% aside for HMRC.
Also if your council is handing out badges like confetti. Be prepared for long periods of sitting around waiting for a ping!
And then the mind kicks in.
Good luck.
